Good quality, great price.

These plates do exactly what they need to do, without being fancy or gimmicky. They slide on and off barbells smoothly without slop or play, and all my weights measured accurately to within a couple of ounces.

If you care about how they look, they’re plain cast iron with a matte black finish and silver paint applied over raised text. Is the paint perfect? No, but these aren’t intended to be displayed in an art gallery. I really appreciate that there’s no obnoxious branding… in fact, no branding at all.

You won’t find better new plates for a lower price. You’ll likely have to do a lot of hunting to find better used plates at a lower price.

Why only 4 stars? Not all the plate diameters were consistent, probably due to batches being produced at different casting factories. I ended up exchanging an odd-sized pair of 10 lb plates so that my set would all be uniformly sized. Other than that, I’m entirely happy with them.

Get what you pay for… cast iron chipped and damage on almost every weight I bought from the 2.5lbs to 25lb. Silver text painted on poorly and drips and smudges on weights. If you want a quick cheap fix these are great, I don’t expect I’ll have these for long. 3 stars is for price point.

Bought these at 50% off during the New Year sale. Can't say enough good things about the customer service at Northern Fitness. Picked these up at the showroom in Etobicoke. Those guys in there are awesome.
