The Orion Olympic Hex Weight Bar is a versatile specialty barbell designed for deadlifts, shrugs, and pulls. With a flush handle and raised grip, it combines the functionality of a regular hex bar with added features for a multifunctional workout. Precision-grade steel construction and 28 mm medium-knurled neutral handles provide a sturdy grip, while the ability to flip the bar between handle sets allows for varied workouts that focus on shrugs and limit shoulder stress. This bar can isolate and target your abdominals, glutes, legs, and arms, and supports up to 500-pounds of weight. With a 6-inch ground clearance, the Orion Olympic Hex Weight Bar helps accurately perform deadlifts without straining your lower back.

Great!

Well made, super grippy knurling on the handles, no complaints.

Just heads up if you’re super strong and using big bumper plates it might be worth going for the bigger size, there’s only space for a few bumpers.

Good one-time investment for home gym

The hex bar actually more safe than straight bar for deadlift, eliminate the risk of low back spine and more natural motion for the deadlift exercise. I bought the olympic straight bar first for starting strength method, though slowly moved over to hex bar and dumbbells to avoid injuries. I think barbell heavy lifting could only safe either join a dedicated strength gym or paying for a personal coach. Otherwise, hex bar and dumbbells with functional training is a better way to go.
