Commercial 1750 Treadmill - NordicTrack

I read very good reviews for this treadmill, but I have a few concerns. The manual says that it requires a surge protector. I have never had a piece of cardio equipment that require this type of protection and I believe for the price it should come with everything it needs. The screen has Netflix and other streaming options but only if you pay for the expensive iFit program. Finally, the screen remains on unless you turn off the machine.
